May 3, 2026 – Belmar Park, Lakewood, Colorado — I headed out to Belmar Park this past Sunday. The park is always good for capturing birds. It is one of those places where it is hard to take a bad shot. I mostly wanted to work on shots of birds in flight. I knew my camera had lots of features to help with that, and I was underutilizing them.
I was mostly successful, but there are still some kinks to work out. The settings for capturing a bird in flight and one swimming on the water are different and I was having problems switching between the two easily.
